As part of our non-number work in length and weight - our P6/7 class spent time in mixed groups to see who could build the best bridge. The children spoke about how to make it a fair test and they were only allowed 5 sheets of paper and 50cm of cellotape. There was lots of discussion around making the bridges as well as the coincidental learning of measuring length and weight.
